Peter Hagen is an Ottawa lawyer and a member of our Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice and Insurance law groups. Peter has a special interest in personal injury claims and in particular claims arising out of medical negligence. He has acted as lead counsel on behalf of patients in numerous cases including claims involving cerebral palsy due to hypoxia at birth, kernicterus due to untreated jaundice, partial paralysis following spinal surgery, late diagnosis of meningitis, and a wide range of other claims arising out of medical errors.
Peter has extensive experience with claims for damages arising out of personal injury or death as a consequence of motor vehicle accidents.
Peter has acted on claims for damages arising out of environmental issues, construction issues and product liability. He acts for a major insurer defending a wide variety of matters.
Peter also has experience in assisting physicians in matters involving hospital privileges.

Peter was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2010.

Cases & Transactions
Peter has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. He has also acted as a mediator and an arbitrator on occasion when requested by other counsel.
