Ursula practices municipal, expropriation, development and planning law, in both official languages. Ursula advises and represents a full range of clients including municipalities, developers, associations, and individual homeowners. She frequently appears before municipal committees and councils, the Ontario Municipal Board and the Board of Negotiation on behalf of clients. She has also appeared before the Ontario Divisional Court for expropriation matters.
Ursula studied at the University of Ottawa where she received her Honours Baccalaureate of Social Science - Political Science and Français Langue Seconde. In 2000, she received her LLB, cum laude, also from the University of Ottawa. Ursula articled with Soloway, Wright and joined the firm after her call to the bar in 2002.
Ursula is a member of the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association, the Ottawa chapter of Lambda Alpha International, and the Ontario Expropriation Association. She is also a member of the County of Carleton Law Association and the Canadian Bar Association. Ursula has been a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa Law School, Common Law faculty, since 2003, teaching components of the Municipal and Planning Law course to law students.
